The Igbo Progressive Community aims to support and integrate Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities across West Yorkshire, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families. We promote social inclusion, equality, community cohesion and wellbeing through education, welfare information, signposting, skills development, health awareness and community activities. We preserve and celebrate Igbo language, culture, traditions and heritage for members, families and the wider community. We support young people, families and older people, encourage volunteering and active citizenship, and work with statutory, voluntary and community organisations. We provide safe community spaces and facilities that promote participation, resilience, independence, social development and meaningful integration without discrimination.s
